Hey, I’m Mateusz Madura — an independent Product Designer, a husband and a dad of three: Klara, Alicja and Leon.
I’ve been designing digital products since 2005. I care about thoughtful interfaces, solid foundations and working relationships where people can speak openly.
My work brings together product thinking, UX architecture, interface design and an understanding of what happens during implementation. I’ve worked with clients in Poland and internationally, across focused websites and complex digital products.
From 2008 to 2023, I built and led Vision Trust. That meant managing teams, delivering substantial projects and building long-term client relationships, while staying involved in the design itself.
In 2023, I chose to focus on independent work through Startify. I wanted more space for hands-on design, personal growth and projects where I can make a meaningful contribution.
Alongside that work, my experience at UBS as an Associate Director — UX/UI Designer has deepened my understanding of complex fintech products and collaboration at an enterprise scale.
AI is now part of the core of my process. It helps me organise project context, prepare design foundations and develop my own direction into further screens, states, interactions and documentation.
I personally create the visual concept and main screens. I decide how the product should look and behave, review what the agents produce, and take responsibility for the recommendations.
I also code every project as part of that design process. Clients still receive their complete agreed Figma design, alongside the code developed during the work and a portal presenting the project. Commissioned implementation has its own agreed scope.
The tools have changed. The experience and judgment behind the work are still mine.
Family is my anchor. Life with three kids brings plenty of noise, joy and perspective — and a useful reminder that the people using our products have lives well beyond the screen.
I’m from Sosnowiec, in Poland’s Silesian region, and live with my family in Katowice.
I like clear communication, attention to detail and doing the work properly. I also like keeping collaboration human. We can be serious about the product and still have a normal conversation.
